Motor is done valves shimmed new clutch setup springs,and blates, hinson basket. new head gasket, valve cover gasket, honed the cylinders, welded a tab on the oil pickup so i could turn it 90deg. so it faces the back of the pan, new filter, thermostat, and t-stat oring. Should run beautifully!. getting tires mounted today. Thanks to Colorado Powersports in thorton, you guys rock!\r\n

\r\n \r\n I been speaking to a few French riders and they have told me to get rid if the flapper in the airbox and weld open the down pipes valves that open and close. I\'ve put a power commander on also but haven\'t rode it yet it\'s not finished.\r\n

\r\n \r\n bill, do the mods the french told you. those will make the surging go away, but wont make the idle stronger. use a stock pipe,shorten it a bit. then go to a professional tuner with either your powercommander or as i did, a rapid-bike (better adjustment, also lower in rpm).. have him sync the throttlebodies, do the kleenairmod (my tuner did that for me) then till him you dont care about the high end HP, but that you are putting in the powercommander in to make as much torque as possible while you have the idle set at 3000-3500. tell him you smother it down with the brake to about 1000rpm at times. you know, tell him how riding idle works.. make sure he has time for you cuz it will not be right the first time! a dynorun at full throttle doesnt say shit, you have to ride it outside(parking lot there) then adjust from there on..\r\n
