My full steel frame is only 2.5 pounds heavier than stock. I'd call that pretty good.

Uuuuh guys, it's not the weight off your bike that's determines your ridin. Your talent and determination does that for you.
I don't think I, meaning myself, will ride any better with a lighter bike. But I would be welding and bending shit back into shape every weekend. I can trash my bike however I please and nothing breaks.

That's still heavier than stock. So to me that is not good.
And if you think riding a lighter more nimble faster bike isn't going to make you a better rider then you are retarded as fuck. I rode Mini G bike and I wanted to ride mine into a wall ever since. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

LOL I put my 03-04 steel frame bike on a ridiculous diet,it weighs 60+ lbs less than it did a year ago and riding "tiny woman" supermotos only makes you a better all around rider guy what you know about that.
