Update:
Rims are done. Everything is rattle can, and it seems like the black wants to chip like crazy so I might have to figure something out.

this is why i'm thinking of painting my rims, anodizing or powder coating for when i do it up. if you're not using the rattle can clear coat you could try that and see if that works you could also try wrinkle paint, its rattle can too but i think it would stick better. i plan on using it to paint my crank case and few other things. http://www.tcpglobal.com/SprayPaintD...FcKPPAod-kMAzQ this stuff i've seen used and looks pretty cool.

ya, thats a good suggestion. I used rim paint with the black and that stuff was just crap. The white was some like paint/primer combo and that seemed to work way better. Maybe next time ill do it right and clear coat or just go get it powder coated.

yeah some guy came into our shop and had used that rim paint stuff and i wasn't impressed really. i went to a o'reilly auto parts and got some house of kolors rattle can and clear coat it seemed to work ok but i wasn't painting rims, but yeah scratch your rims up prime them with some healthy coats and i would used some 600 grit to sand your primer down then lay down same rattle can sealer if you sanded through the primer and then lay down your color and then your clear coat. same steps for the wrinkle paint except no clear coat and this is the finish you get from wrinkle paint
