I used my stock plugs tell 30k miles, no issues.. When I put new ones in, I didn't notice any difference, I just felt better about it..
My friend cheaped out and got some $5 plugs at autozone, after a couple months his f4i ran like garbage.
You MUST run the proper plugs in these motors! I don't know what it is about them, but I wouldn't run anything different. I got my plugs for like $45
You got to consider the fact most people wont change the plugs in their car for over 100k miles! Imo your better sticking to the plugs that came in your bike if you are going to cheap out anyways...
