I run thicker to slow down my rebound never had no issues except for the occasional flip
good tip add zip ties to your forks
you can gauge you settings then if im comming in 3rd gear pinned and grab the brake i want it to plant straight down that way I have a less chance of wash out listen to a2k he knows his stoppie game

gain more momentum when it compresses down. tire will stick better from transfer of weight. I never said they bottomed out either. diffrence between planting and bottoming out to where it thuds and makes creaky noises. plus its how i like my set up and I dont think its so rediculous.....I have absoultly no problem riding or doing long stoppies. ask OMR
