SV engines, the full story?

Hey peeps,

So I know all about it being not clever to stunt an SV engine because of oil tarvation and stuff, but I've never been able to find an out and out explanation to exactly what goes wrong and why. Thing is, I've got this SV powered bike sitting in the shed doin' nothing but add mileage. Tried to sell it, but as it goes nobody seems interested, not even regular riders.

I've heard about people trying to mod the engine and oil routing so that it should stay alive but I've also heard that even that didn't quite cut it. It's sweet as a streetbike, so what exactly is up with it sucking at surviving wheelies?
