I did that with a brand new SER when I was younger.
Was cruisin down the freeway, shifted from 6th to what I thought was 4th and hit 2nd, rev matched dumped the clutch and it buried the 8k tach when redline was 6k.
Seperated a couple valves and found them in the exhaust system later on.
It still ran, just sounded like a WRX, with 2 dead cylinders.
