My mechanic did a compression test on my truck. There is no compression at all from the #6 cylinder. He also did the computer test and found that the injector was completely done. And also when we pulled the glow plug, it was destroyed. When I start the truck, it pisses fuel out of the muffler.
What are the possibilities of what can be wrong?
My mechanic thinks its the piston. He believes that it may have cracked or damaged the wall and theres a 50/50 chance that it would be easier to replace the motor. (Keep in mind this is NOT a shop. He is not making any extra money no matter what I decide to do).
Now a buddy told me that if it was the piston, then the motor would lock up. He believes that it is the valve. And if the valve is no good, then its not closing and thats why so much fuel is being dumped out to the exhaust.
Any thoughts or anyone ever have this issue???
