lost the only key to my 954..decided to buy a new ignition key, and cap off ebay from china,tried wiring up the 3 wires, did not work, then i figured that there was no diode in the ignition switch, so i buy a 3.9 diode zener from a electrical store, and i got the speedo to light up and fuel pump is priming,
but bike wont start.
all i did was take the two red wires connected them to one end of the diode, and the pink to the other end, just to see if i can start it. but nothing.
is it possible to get the bike running like this?
is it possible to burn the computer if i was careless with the wires?
i got two computer but i don't know i might have killed both before i figured the right way to hook up the three wires that go in to the ignition.
can anybody help?
