Team Blue Ghostrider from DARPA did something like this. Also a group of high-schoolers I instructed last summer ('09) made a Lego NXT wheelie-bot so I know it's possible to auto-stunt a bike...I'm sure it'll come 2 pass sooner than later, human resistance is futile to robotic precision _\\//

hmm, Flossie is kinda neat, if not over dramatic. BMW uses a similar setup to test run prototypes on a dyno. But like all things German, it's a bit more eficient and less bulky with a lot less personality, lol.
The EATR thing bothers me though. It's like a Zombie robot. midless, computer controled and hungry for brains. The big thing is the idea that if a soilder is killed in battle, there's no recovering the dead for proper burriel. Who's to say this thing isn't going to gobble up one of our own boys before the recovery unit can get to them. Pretty shity deal. |
