im running stock 636 and stock 08 r1, my bike stays so cool!!! are you gonna run a headlight? i just stole power from my head light for my fan so it comes on w/ my ignition, but you could always just run a wire to your fuse box. the way i did it doesnt require any hacking of your harness. leave the fan motor pluged into stock harness, then un plug the sender on the radiator, test the two wires one will have constant power, even w/ ignition off, thats why you cant use it. find a power source that is only on when key is on,run a new wire and plug it into the other connection that has no power for your radiator sending unit...wha-la your fan now comes on w/ your key!\r\n
