Gays serving in the military

Then it could be said that straight guys join to serve their country, not bang girls and get drunk with their buddies. Right? But that still happens on the regular. And what's wrong with gays having equal rights? Besides, when you join the military, you knowingly give up certain individual liberties and are molded into a conformist mentality where you are a soldier at times, and a citizen at others, based on your orders. The lines aren't supposed to blur between the two.
