title: humility of a steward and servant
best: 19 & 20
19But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.
20For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
pauls spirit bears witness w/ Gods spirit, the spirit of God is not know by word but by the power of God, makes me think of matthew 7;16 by thier fruits you will know them.
challenge/hard: 6-7 & 11-13

6And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. 7For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
seems like when im doing well i find my self thinking of how well i have done for myself and forgeting that all things have been given to my by God himself.pride tends to be one of my main issues.
11Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;

12And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 13Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day
the apostles had it rough, more so than myself im sure, and yet they didnt have a bad outlook or attitude, they blessed those who treated them poorly, and always showed the love of God to those around them no matter if they were loved by those people or hated. in truth i struggle to be nice to ppl that hate on God or christianity.
summary:
i think pual was chastising (sp) the corinthian church for being high and mighty in thiere own minds, thinking they were all that. wehave recieved all things from God above, and cannot boast in ourselves, we should boast only in God and what he has done for us. paul said to imitate hi, to bless those who curse you, to be a faithfull steward of Gods love and grace. when we follow God it should be evident for all to see, the kingdom is not of words, but of power...power that changes our lives! and just so you know when i say we, i mean me! lol God bless you all....beardo
