and i saw another person post something about Taurus.... ive personally never had one problem out of mine. ive got a Taurus 1911 and its been great and used to have a taurus 909 9mm witch i dont think i ever cleaned and it never jammed??? just like any gun. you keep them clean and they will treat you good. even though high point are cheap guns if its your first its not a bad gun. their cheap. if you tear it up..... so what it only costs about 100 bucks. if your only wanting to throw a bunch of lead down range i wouldnt recommend a $1000 pistol as your first. once you go around the ranges just look at what other ppl are shooting and ask questions. 9mm is deff best for gun ranges because its not going to break the bank in just ammo. i remember being able to get a box of 20 7.62 rounds for my sks around 5 bucks. now its almost 35 bucks a box!!!
