wooooaaaaaa Sorry clearly I did not type what I meant in the correct way, my apologies upfront!!!!!
There is a huge difference between crying when the child gets punished for doing something wrong and just flat out crying. I agree about letting the child cry in thier room or wherever there punishment "spot" is, although we do the no crying over stupid shit here. I can't stand the parents who are too busy on the phone to listen to thier kids, or who are to involved in their dinner conversations with friends to attend to thier baby crying (diapers, food, etc). Those are the parents I was referring to.
There is also a huge difference in age between your daughter and mine. At 4 yea my kid was alot like that too, stubborn and learning and pushing to figure out her boundries, there is a huge difference between knowing and learning. If my daughter, at 9, were do to that she'd be getting grounded!!! She knows the rules and the boundries and knows they don't move. She is allowed to discuss with me what happened and her side of the story but if she's wrong mom's law still stands.
I question this statement thou "Its means I'm not gonna put up or want to hear her crying for no reason. Its better than me beating the shit out of her like other people do." Have you ever wondered what it is that she really is crying over thou? With my daughter I have noticed that usually the reason she starts crying is not the real reason she was crying. I have had to tell her father (we live in seperate states and are not together) to just sit down and talk to her instead of yelling at her, he realizes that alot of the time it's his issue and not hers that is making her cry. We've been doing this method since she was 3. Mind you neither one of us spank her or as you put it beat the shit out of her.
I absolutly hands down agree that children are like adults and have different personalities, that is the most wonderful thing about being a parent. Finding out what your childs personality is and helping them become best person they can be!!!
I don't know what to tell you about the difference in opinion of the child being a monster the parent is not involved enough, I am not an expert nor do I claim to be. Out of all my friends who have kids, the one's who kids are terror's and bullies etc are the product of the parents who would rather smoke dope, drink, talk on the phone or have baby sitters almost every night of the week. The one's who's parent's stay home with them the majority of the time and are involved in the homework and upbringing of them, have children who are respectful of the rules and polite and very helpful little shit's all the way around.
Again I am sorry I didn't explan it well the first time and hope this time I made my belief's a little more clear. Like you said everyone is different including our children, that is the most wonderful part about it thou!!!!
