Sorry but thats total BS. I'm the stay at home dad and am with my daughter ALL the time and I don't spoil her. Other people around me do. I'm the nicest guy to her and the toughest one. She has been punished time and time and time again but she has a VERY strong personality (just like me) and feels like she can do whatever she wants, as well as she has an attitude like me. She knows when and what shes doing wrong and knows when she'll get in trouble, but STILL does it anyways. She'll be put in timeout, cry for a lil while, then come out, say sorry, and clean up her mess like she was supposed to do.
I let her cry all the time. If they do something wrong, get in trouble, start crying, and then you give in and baby them to stop crying, then THEY WIN. They're gonna continue to do that everytime cuz they know they're not really gonna get punished. I just simply put her in her room by herself, let her cry, and close the door behind me. No toys or tv. Just sit on her bed by herself.
Does this mean I don't give a fuck about my daughter? NO. Its means I'm not gonna put up or want to hear her crying for no reason. Its better than me beating the shit out of her like other people do.
Kids like adults have different personalities. You need to treat some differently in order for them to understand things.
Oh and EVERYONE who has met me or my daughter, knows how attached my daughter is to me and how much I love and care for her. But again, I'm the most strict with her and the nicest to her.
And lastly, as far as this line right here is," A child is a direct representation of it's parents, if the kid is a horrid monster then guess what.... the parents are involved enough".....THATS COMPLETE BULLSHIT AS WELL.
