The start is the most important part. Thats where the most speed is lost, and thats when the angle changes quickly. But the relativity to balance point isnt even the biggest benefit, traction is. Obviously the front will have more traction since the bike is already leaning forward a little. More traction means you can hit the brake harder at the start, and get it up quicker. Up here in the north, thats a big deal in the winter.
