About a week ago I noticed my kawi making a strange whirring/whining noise around 4-8k rpms. It does it while rolling and while in neutral, with the clutch in and with the clutch out. I'm still trying to pin point where it's coming from, but I was curious if anyone on here has heard this noise before or has any ideas on what it could be? It almost sounds to me like it's louder on the shifter side but it's hard to tell.

At this point I'm thinking it could be a vacuum leak somewhere, something with the timing chain, something in the head, the stator maybe, or a bearing inside the tranny. Any help would be much appreciated as I want to get this fixed and get back to riding asap! Thanks!
