Water is usually enough to get the brake fluid off the pad as long as you do it before you heat them up, unfortunately once you heat them up with brake fluid on them they kind of act like a sponge.
I have heard of people using a torch to heat the back of the pad and boiling out the fluid but I would suspect the pad wouldn't work too good after getting that hot.
Keep in mind that new pads work like crap till they are seated with the rotor.
Stubbz mentioning the banjo bolts, reminded me of another possibility for the front brakes locking up. If the new lines are thicker at the banjo bolt than the stock lines, then the stock banjo bolts may not line up with the new lines. The hole in the banjo bolt should be centered in the line.
hmmm so what your getting at is the holes aren't lining up and id have to shim the fitting with another crush washer to get it to line up? Son of a!!! lol, gonna lose a lot of Unicorn Piss (motul rbf600)
