I'll probably just cut a real short hose and use a small reservoir right above the master...
The important thing about a res is the diaphragm in it, as the pads wear and the piston moves out it pulls the fluid down and creates vacuum in a sealed setup like yours. Eventually the hose will start to collapse and the brake will stop working completely. Basically I was wheeling wheeling away and all of a sudden no brake at all....Open the cap and bleed it again and it would work for some time, then eventually go dead again....
Since most racers don't use rear brake at all or very little, and bleed brakes often, its not a problem for them...We however use rear brake alot and that where the problem comes from
Sic innovations came out with a triple clamp that had a build in res with no diaphragm, I posted in their thread that it was going to cause problems. Everyone basically said I was an idiot and didnt know what I was talking about...Then shortly after they changed the design to one that had brembo res with diaphragm because I was 100% correct, eventually without a diaphragm you will have problems
