think of it this way. if you turn them big silver things (preload adjusters) in, your front height increases. if they are out like they are now, the front end lowers. adjust them to your liking.
the compression and damping generally sets the speed at which your suspension compresses on the way down and dampens on the way up, in that order respectively.
if they were put together wrong when you go to turn thempreload adjusters(big silver things) in(down) they will only go halfway or so and bottom out the threads. hope that helps.
