I just did some quick research and I can't find one credible source saying its a bad idea. Every oil manufacturer, plus popular mechanics said there's absolutely no issue switching back and forth. The only people I could find that advised against it were people saying "I heard it's bad" on forums. This is where most mechanics would fall as well. They do not know anything about the actual oil properties, they are just telling you what they heard or basing their opinion off a skewed set of data.

Last time i looked into it was about a year ago and every machanic ive asked advised against it so i will have to look back into it but like i also said ive had an issue where switching oils crapped out my motor in my bike...so i just nvr did it again but i run synthetic in almost everything i have now either way...i have no objection in saying im wrong so i will do more reaseach and learn more about it
