With the bikes wet clutch you don't want to run car oil because it doesn't have addatives for the plates like motorcycle oil does. However there are people on here who use car oil and don't seem to have any problems

i totally agree. my bro used car oil regularly on his katana back in the day and had to rebuild the trans twice. may have just been the katana though..lol
but ya . regular car oil is not meant for a bike imo
