that was lone star biker bash.. was fun, but I still haven't found anything that compares to the old sessions at lakeland..
timing had a lot to do with it's success. Traveling 16hrs every year was no big deal to be able to meet the other handful of people that rode. Camping in January and freezing your ass off all weekend (or all week) long was worth it to hang with those people. The riding was fun and no one had sponsors.
sessions are where it's at, street is fun and it's cool to see xdl on youtube, but give me some cold beer, good friends and a decent piece of pavement and I'm good.
