Just tossing in my 2 cents. I read this thread before I bought my pit bike and decided to go with an Orion 70 anyway...
Bike doesn't run well at all. Seems like it may be a jetting issue but I'm discovering that jets are next to impossible to find for the knock off Chinese carb that it comes with. I got one with disc brakes... After less than ONE HOUR of riding I started to hear a grinding noise and the rear brake was not working well. Looked down and I saw metal on metal. I'm not sure if the brake pad was just garbage and ground down to nothing, or if it actually fell off the backing plate. Either way it was awful. I adjusted the handlebars once and one of the bolts just spun, the threads had basically fallen off it.
I have since ordered a BBR carb kit and a caliper off a Zuma to try and get this thing in working condition, but I have already spent way more than I would have if I just bought a stunted 50.
In fact I just did buy an 06' CRF last week because my girlfriend hates the Orion so much... Moral of the story, just get a Honda. I'm sure I will get the 70 running and reliable, but it's going to cost me twice as much as just buying one done up. I'm just hoping the motor and tranny hold up on the Orion, but I'm not holding my breath.
