That is the starting point for a cage I'm building. I couldn't afford a cage, new rearsets, round bar and, subcage so I'm building them. I decided that if I have to build all my own parts instead of copying an existing cage (not my style), I would design my own. I have studied several of the IMO best parts around. I needed rearsets, so the plate for my cage to frame mount at the S.A. pivot point, could double as steel R.S. brackets. ( I have been rocking my home made rear sets for 2 months now, functional but ugly as hell). On my current rearset brackets I didn't have thick enough steel to make it strong so I used what I had and braced between the brackets behind the shock and over the chain. That bar provided an awesome way to triangulate the passenger peg cross bar and the frame. Unloading some stress from the aluminum subframe mounts. At this point I realized that I was building an exoskeleton and I utilized the subframe bolt holes in the main plate. Stay tuned man.
