They stopped hitting him and tasing him after he was unconscious and pretty much dead on the ground not moving, he stopped resisting well before that.

i wouldn't be so hard on Kruss. the guy was resisting even when saying he was sorry, and even though he was mentally challenged so was Jared Loughner. Mentally challenged people still can pose a threat. i do strongly believe the cop who threatened to beat him just went off his rocker and should be punished for it with jail time, but you guys know very well that if you were being interrogated, you would have given the cop your ID, and most likely you wouldn't have been tackled and beaten. Again, the cops should be punished for doing their part in escalating the situation, but don't expect them to waste all fuckin night chatting with a bum. mentally ill or not, the bum and his condition contributed to that event that night.
