that's a countersink for the M6 allen head, the actual through hole for the screw is much smaller. I might also make the joint where it steps down on the top have a radius, just so there isn't concentrated force at that joint, depending on how it looks I guess... The only thing that concerns me right now is the strength of the bracket itself. I'm a little worried that if it gets smacked the screws will want to pull out. I might just have to take the console off when IO start doing tank tricks with my legs over the triples! Or maybe I would get enough strength from a steel threaded insert... I guess there's only one way to find out! |
