We're not talking getting paid to stunt or anything here, perhaps "adequate" would be a better term to use. Just me personally as a noobie, if a guy showed me some spreader circles I'd be like that was good.

As for the injuries, i'm kind of looking at it as more of a probability thing. If we take hawk and vallely as you pointed out, then we could say that you can be pro and have a 50/50 of having to fucking wreck yourself in the process. So even though those are two completely different scenarios, it can still be useful to look at in terms of the odds. Although i can imagine tony hawk would be the exception and not the rule in terms of skateboarding injuries.
