Just make it so it follows the subframe up, preferably WAY up the subframe to the main frame.

I'd follow both lines of the subframe personally if you want it to hold up. Maybe go down the top part of the subframe, yet also have a bar that goes down the lower part of the subframe, for more support.

If you don't want to weld it to the actual frame, you can use "U bolts" to secure it. Just like people do on crf50's.
