636 Running Hot

My last fan I hard wired to the horn and when the bike got real hot I couldn't turn it off with the ignition. I could take the key right out of the bike and the thing still ran. Had to put the kickstand down in gear to turn the bike off. The bike was always running above 209 with the fan on so I never bothered to wire it this time around. Don't think 209 in the lot is bad at all my friend.... id be happy with 209...

Bumping an old thread as I've been reading all of the 636 overheating threads this morning...my problem last night was in a wheelie my temp would go down into normal range, or what I would call normal. Lol but as soon as I set the wheelie down my temp would shoot back up to 225-235.... even riding around in 6th gear low idle it would not cool down when on two wheels... tried doing a long idle wheelie... circling and reconing around the lot... temp goes down to 215ish and with in 5 seconds of being back on 2 wheels its back into 230ish range...

My spare radiator is on there now, and I've rode with it before with out it doing this, and I've just recently fixed my valve cover gasket leak...

Temp going down in a wheelie is what's weird... and not cooling down on two wheels, even cruising around in 6th to get air across the radiator is confusing me...lol

Clogged radiator or thermostat?!?
