Showed up at Tig's house today, the guy hadn't touched the bike since starting this thread, lol.
Checked that the throttle bodies were seated properly, swapped fuel pumps, swapped ecus and swapped the battery. The end result being that the bike still sounds like a sewing machine.
It doesn't make a nice constant noise as it's running, instead, it sounds like a sewing machine as the overall volume of the motor is constantly going up and down. Also, when you rev it just sitting in neutral instead of a nice vrrrrooooom you just get a veeeeeeehhhhhhhhmmmmm.
Someone suggested it may be running on 3 cylinders, but we threw water on all the headers and all 4 were hot.
Anybody have some other suggestions to try?
