\nA guy I ride with has a 636 with the numbers stamped on the wrong side, the person that did it started on the correct side and messed up. So they just started again on the other side...
Cops have seen it, and there is no problems...At least there is a VIN on it....

\nCheck what the laws are in your state, and go about having it re VIN\'d the legal way...They have to have some kind of solution for someone in your situation, as I cannot believe they would just want you to leave it groudn down....At the least they have to give you somethiing to put back on there...\r\n

Just doesnt make sense to me, to be rolling around with ground down numbers. Even with documentation that just looks bad at first glance, and I could see that causing problems with police. Quote:
