i dont in the chamber but always with my clip in.....im positive if i thought i needed it one would go in the chamber just as fast and me pulling,aiming and firing.

My M&P .45 doesnt have a safety so I dont keep mine charged.

never. i carry a S&W sigma 9 with absolutely no safety though. i chamber as i pull faster than some people can even pull so im not worried about it.

bad thing is in a SD situation, you could be forcing someone off you with your left hand. How are you going to draw & chamber a round? I know someone who got shot this way.
All you need is a decent holster that covers the trigger

I really see no point in carrying if you dont keep one chambered...The way i see it,if you have to use lethal force its going to be in a life or death situation where seconds count..seconds you might not have to chamber a bullet before you squeeze off...so yeah...chambered for sure....now if its a home defense gun or just your toys...loaded but unchambered for sure...and like someone said...what if your being held down,or kidnapped,or any situation where you couldnt put two hands on the gun...just because you can chamber a bullet and fire quickly at practice doesn't mean you will in real life or death situation....If your gonna carry a gun..keep it loaded..

and also...with one chambered you can have one more bullet ontop of your full clip...one more bullet that could save mine or someone elses life.
