that was the goal with the mounting..clean

\nnot to mention most of the other half frames im seeing bolt from the side..
\nnot only is that not the cleanest way to do it, i believe that the over and over abuse on those bolts(everytime you drop a wheelie or pitch a stoppie) is going to wear on those thru holes and enlarge them rather quickly..
\nOn the other hand my set up pushes all the forces into the rear frame...two flat sufaces so the bolts only hold it together but do not take any load!\r\n

\nbut heres a question.......... can u change the mounting points for the fairings so u can do a 03 636 with 05 0r 07 fairings just thinking outside the box\r\n

\nno nut on the other side or space just the threads holding it in?? what if it pushes back on that and shears the bolts but then again very unlikly and shit looks tight.\r\n

Has locating dowels taking any load the bolts will have...but none of the load is ever put into the bolts...bolts only really hold a load when front tire is up\r\n

\r\n \r\n had a long day of r&d on the cage and the frame sunday!!

\nmy cams were all dead..spent to much time gettn everything else ready for the session slam forgot the chargers

\nhad a few other guys at the lot taking vid and pics so i\'ll try to get some footage soon.

\nlearned a bunch, no prob with lowsiding drift..and gave it a bunch of really hard hits..
\nlowsided it out of a cir and no problem at all..
\nso i pulled it up rolled along around 10 mph and let the front end start to drop and gassed and jumped off..bike stayed at 12 swayed back and forth slamed really hard on the left cage then flopped to the right side.

\ncage took it all..we did tear a damper, but kinda was looking for that..the design was for 3 damper and was trying to get away with 2 but 3 is what its going to need..
\nthe movement you get with only 2 dampers i like but is only good for compression hits ..
\nso all in all the cage responded to the testing just as hoped..have already started to mod the cage for the 3rd damper and will post pics soon..

\nour production cages will be made from 4130 chromoly 1in x .120 wall
\nordered a few sticks today..
\nthis will make the cage alittle lighter aswell as stronger..\r\n
