Stunt Quads?
#1
Has anyone ever built a dedicated stunt quad? I have an old Blaster that is in pieces that I have been meaning to get back together but I really dont feel its worth investing the money. I bought all the banshee shit to convert it to disc brakes in the front and wanted to get the hydraulic conversion for the back, stiffer gas shocks and top it off with the largest aluminum rims I can get and the lowest profile American Racer or Hoosier mini sprint car tires. I have seen some TRX450's with those rims and tires and they just scream out STUNT ME!

I have a trx450 that is geared down, got handbrake, and a 12bar. I dont know if that makes it a stunt quad but I stunt it like crazy. :P lately I have been rolling stoppies and jumping to spreader from various places lol

my buddy in myrtle had his 400ex fully set up, street tires, shocks, etc he said he liked it but as far as mine i dont think its necessary, bone stock minus the hb. its a 4 wheeler....... how much easier do you need it to be ??? lol

I figured it might be a little more consistent with stiffer shocks and the street tires may last longer?

my dirt tires look like street tires now lol , but every now and then i do like to play in the dirt so i wouldnt wanna buy street tires, but what ever floats your boat

as far as the shocks go, just be smoother on the throttle n brake, every now and then when my hands get tired i get a little choppy

I rode an LTR 450 that I stunted the shit out of.
I learned most of everything I know other than circles on it.

My brother Rocks a TRX 450 and destroys the shit out of it.. Rolling at least 150 ft stoppies.

They get boring after a while.
Street tires would have helped a ton- you can get them at rockymountainatv.com
