This thread is many many years too late!!!Sick Innovations already made the improvements that you are just now tryin to fix,Just stop tryin to make the perfect cage... SI already makes it.
On the bright side...you could always ask for a job taking orders or something for SI


FI is waaaaay over priced,weak and out dated design,and breaks alot of shit on our bikes that we normally dont worry about with a good cage,SI FTW!!!

+ 1...i personally dont think there is a mass produced cage compaany out right now that makes a product worth me spending 300 bux on....mine is custom made as the design ur talking abouT....think only bigger company thst was close to this design was the 3 point mxd that was made for a short period of time....

some thing like this crash cage you mean ? it's bolted to the motor mounts and doesnt go under the bike , you can take one side off at a time and there are gussets in 2 directions at the top so it doesnt rip the motor mounts out not to mention a slider thats rubber mounted so it flexes and absorbs the big hits ..three points is the way to go

yuuup it was mxd. At first it was just a 2pt rail, me and a few of the other SICRiders tested them for stunt and they held up really well with just mild steel, we asked for a third point to support where it gradually bent down and it was money..

Now I can't get the handfull of guys I know who fab to set aside time to make me one again.. Right now Impaktech and SI make the best cages, but them just like everyone else are missing something, if there strong and quality they're heavy, if they're light not bulky but weak etc etc can't win unless you get it made.

What we need: light, strong, rail, 3pts, chromoly.. do work

thats what I'm running on my f4i right now. once the pucks grind down and are gone, the MXD is a stator buster also. got a old SI cage thats going on the f4i next.

I still got them aluminum MXD sliders if u want them. but u cant go wrong with the SI on a f4i.

Hi everybody Tim here, we understand that no cage is perfect but keep in mind that we are on here to get feedback and work on improvements. If you just slander that helps no one. If you've had a failure then call and lets see what we can all do to make it better.

The facts, a few of you even if it was a hundred that have a complaint either legit or not are an extremely small part of what we do. In this slow economy we still average between 300 to 400 cage sales per month on top of everything else we do. So when we come here it's because this is how we got started and you guys and gals are our brothers and sisters and we value your honest opinions but not your slander.

We haven't made improvements. FALSE

On some bikes the cage loop is longer so we went back and moved the side strut location on the loop higher to help prevent the slider from moving and doing damage to the bike. WE DID THIS TO ALL CAGES.

Price keeps going up. WRONG

Over the last 9 years we have endured price increases every year to which I finally had to increase to stay in business. All our prices that you see have shipping cost in them so there's no surprises.

On top of that, you can go into any dealer in the US and purchase our products and we know they rarely charge retail. This is not a company that works in the garage on the weekends so there is just a little more expense to operate.

Worst cage on the market. WRONG

Let me say that not only can you look at the workmanship and quickly see there is no comparison out there. What most don't realize is that the first designs I ever created looked like the 905 style cages. I threw them away not because they are no good because every cage has it's good qualities but because it's heavy, in the way, to ridged and causes stress on the chassis, and when they bend you have to cut them off and lastly when they bend the bolts you can't separate the components so that bent bolt will rip threads out of the bike.

HOW ABOUT THIS, WOULD Y'ALL LIKE TO SEE US MAKE THE OTHER STYLE CAGES AS WELL?
