so a week ago at the spot i had to plant my right foot real hard to keep from landing a circle into a little kid's lap...instead of leading with my toes, my heel smashed into the ground, painful to say the least....it still hurts to walk on unless i try to walk on my toes more....anybody have this before?? i'm hoping it's not fractured, but there is no bruising or swelling, it just plain hurts to put pressure on....input???

your foot is gonna take alot more abuse than most , why mess around just get it checked out ..
my brother broke his heel and it's such a big dense bone it takes longer to heal then any other bone ..

yup same exaxt thing happened to me-planted my heel square onto concrete-jumping off a highsided circle. very painful indeed-parts of my heel turned purple and could'nt put any weight on it.
I never got it checked out and it healed on its own but it took the good part of a week and a half to be able to put weight on it. Put some foam in the heel of your shoe to minimize impact-it helps if you work standing up or walk around a lot.
It will heal 100% in no time!

Go get it checked to be sure. Had a similar injury that I hobbled around on for weeks & ended up having some hairline fractures.

yes... DAMM tHEY HUrT!... it's a very difficult bone to break but real easy to bruise... i mean black and blue for weeks but not broken.. just have to keep it elevated and iced for days... it will heal faster but it takes a little time.. like 2 - 4 weeks for most of the pain to subside then another 3 or so weeks for 100%
i did it 3 or 4 times.. it sucks!

Grrrrr looks like I'm going to have to have it checked out, I'm so sick of x-rays and doctors
