it was 80+ here today and my bike never hit 200, tons of drifting and just hard rideing in general... im telling you, wire your fan to come on w/ your ignition so you cant forget to turn it on and add a second fan...08 09 r1 and r6 fans work awsome, your bike will thank you. also if for some reason it did get hot you could shut it off, turn the key on let your fans run for a min. start it back up and drop the temp like 30 degrees.... its awsome!!!!

Don't think 209 in the lot is bad at all my friend.... id be happy with 209...

Bumping an old thread as I've been reading all of the 636 overheating threads this morning...my problem last night was in a wheelie my temp would go down into normal range, or what I would call normal. Lol but as soon as I set the wheelie down my temp would shoot back up to 225-235.... even riding around in 6th gear low idle it would not cool down when on two wheels... tried doing a long idle wheelie... circling and reconing around the lot... temp goes down to 215ish and with in 5 seconds of being back on 2 wheels its back into 230ish range...

My spare radiator is on there now, and I've rode with it before with out it doing this, and I've just recently fixed my valve cover gasket leak...

Temp going down in a wheelie is what's weird... and not cooling down on two wheels, even cruising around in 6th to get air across the radiator is confusing me...lol

Clogged radiator or thermostat?!?

i was running 240+ the other day... BAD i know. drained rad fluid, switched to an 05 radiator and hardwired my fan. rode the lot on sunday night and didnt peak over 225. fuck yes.

now i jus gotta figure out this clutch/clutch arm thingy so i can braaaap

I just got mine running at a normal temp in the lot. I was running 230-240 then harwiredd the fan and ran straight water. Had to burp the system like 10 times to get the air out. Now I'm at 212-216 at most. Thank God it took a month to figure it out
