i rode one and theyre alot of fun. 250 is better for lots but if your gonna be doing any streets the 426 would be alot more fun. If you can get it for a good deal i say go for it you wouldnt regret it.

i read in the descriptions of this bike that people change their oil every ride or like ever 3-5 hours??
gil speaks the truth.. unless you are gonna gear the 450 over 60teeth than a 250 is for lots and 450s are for streets/fun/stoppies in the lot

yea it depends how technical you wanna get with it in the lots. if you wanna wheelien endos and all that it'll be a ton of fun. but if you wanna get into slow circles and combos and all that clutch work the 250 will be more of a rider friendly bike.
I say go for it though.

i picked up a MINT 2001 Yz426f last year for $1200
looked new when i picked it up i Love the bike and think that it would be a Blast in the streets/lots but im still getting use to the Hot/cold start choke and The TDC starting |
