ok so i got a ticket and my insurance went up a lot... my dad syas my mom will have to pay the insurance now.... the bike is registered in CA and titled in my dad's name, but im going on my mom's insurance plan.....theyre divorced, but does it matter whos the title in? or registered? she lives in NC so i cant get it registered in her name but i can change the title holder.....so does it matter whos its title or registered in?

from what i heard the person who is getting the insurance has to have there name on the title...

yea my mom "gift" -ed it to my dad....i can always mail it back and change it, but its registered in my dads name... does that matter?

I believe the insurance needs to be in however its registered to.

negative...both my brothers truck and bike are under my name...just have to have him as a driver on it. saves $ bc we have a house and all our vehicles on one policy.

my truck is titled in CA, CA reg, I have a NH license and I just tell them that I live mostly in NH and sometimes in CA...

you can play games....

Oh yeah that too. haha. Also, as long as the person operating the vehicle doesn't live under the same household, the insurance comes them as well. A lot of insurance companies will make you exclude anyone that lives with you under the same roof. But if they don't have you do that, then you're good to go.

well i called and they cant do that.....i called esurance and they said $20 a month for me! and i fugured out y. the reason it was 100 bucks a month way bc my dad had full coverage like 100,000 a person.....and bare bottom minimum is NOTHING!!!!
