Clutch up a foot or two then throw your weight forward and up. I like to use the brake also. Gripping your tank with your legs as you throw forward helps. Its all about timing. Keep practicing and you'll get them. Here's some slow mo clips to help.

Cheers. Jason gets serious height. Don't think I'm giving it enough of a bunk before bringing it up. What does using the rear brake help by?

You clowns, you have to use the rear brake. Clutch it up and force your body up and forward as hard as you can at the same time. With the front tire being about 2ft ff the ground. As soon as you get to where you are as forward and up off the bike as much as possible stave the rear brake. You have to just know your bike and that comes with time. And Ollie with a skateboard is the same damn thing

In motocross guys airbrake. When they hit a jump you see their bike rock back and forth. They are using the rear brake to determine their pitch for a soft landing.
