I really don't know what you guys are talking about. I thought the thread was about taking communion as Jesus did at the last supper with the disciples.

what is all this talk about passing the emblems versus observers?

an observer of the passover is a person who 'celebrates' it or honors it. in the J.W. organization the members pass the bread and wine. this is a physical rendition of "partaking as an observer". those who partake, actually eat the bread and sip the wine are of "the annointed class". those who feel they've been chosen to serve under christ and god in heaven as part of the 144,000 as mentioned in the bible and lived a life reflecting an upright straightforward standing.
