How to register your steel frame

If you just go to DMV with a new bike thats not yours and you don't have a frame # that matches your motor your going to have to do a lot of explaining. Thats why I said if you just take it there and title it in your name they will be able to prove everything is yours. Then you say you bought a new frame heres my old registration with the bike motor and everything in my name. They can prove the motor is yours the frame is yours everything is clean. So yes just build it up with the new frame but don't say anything about it when you title it. CHP = Cali highway piggie your going to have to go to whatever your local highway patrol office is. When they saw my bike the guy laughed at me and asked what I was using it for I told him just crusing the streets every now and then. He smiled and then looked at my cage rashed up and dropped all my paperwork in the tank dent and said ya sure lol. If I could do it again i'd put a stock tank on and take the cage off. I'm pertty sure he gave me the run around because my bike was looking pretty stunter and it caused me to have to make 2 differen't chp appointments.

more complicated and expensive and that doesn't guarantee that they ll approve it. called dmv and read over the package they sent. not impossible but sounds close.
