F4i headlight attachment fullfairing

How does the headlight attach to the fairing stay in stock form?

I can't find a picture of it, or an explanation.

I'm trying to go back to full fairing with my headlight and on the fairing stay there are 2 huge rubber grommets where the headlight tabs mount up to, and i just don't see it being as simple as a bolt and and nut because the hole is too big.

anyone know what piece im missing or have a picture of it?

the first link doesnt show any parts for it, but in the 2nd link its what goes inside part number 3's

I'm sure its something simple, but going through my bucket of f4i parts i don't see anything in my possession that would hold the headlight in place without horrible amounts of wobble

Nothing will hold the headlight inplace without wobbles other than a beefed up stay with extra mount points for the headlight housing. The two rubber grommet things on the back of the stay there are two little plastic spike looking things that come off the houseing that slide in there. Headlight is only attached by those two things holding them in place, and the like 5 screws that attach it to the upper. Then the upper fairing is only attach by the 3 bolts on each side of the sides, the pop fasteners that are on the inner fairing piece if you even have that and the bolts on the intake dust covers. Oh and the top windscreen bolts and mirrors if you don't have the upper trimmed down. I just took my headlight hout and run it empty. otherise you are probably going to break it. Stealthstay is probably the only way to get around that and I'm not even positive on that.

Thanks dude, I found 2 spikey things that fit in perfectly but will definitely slip out. Guess I just have to save up for a stealth stay.

If you are going to use a stealth stay, you will have to cut those two tabs off and use clips attached within stealth stay to hold.
