drz 400... need opinions from who has them.

The difference between slow and slower. The Dr maybe a tad more powerful but both are snoozville under acceleration

compared to a rocket yeah. but with a 250 and 450 single you cant expect it to be arm wrenching like ridin a geared 636 or suntin. the wr loves to be high in the R's i know that and it rips when you keep it there

how fast do you expect a single cylinder 250 or 400 to be....

i went from my gix 1k to my 250x and im very happy with the power and stunt ability. mines only +7 in the back i got it to stand up in 4th at 45-50mph and tops out at 80.

I'm a new DRZ owner and I love the bike so far. I got my 954 when I wanna go fast, but I'm +1 in the back and easily clutch 2nd and 3rd...that's all the power I really need in my supermoto.

I've ridden both the WR and DRZ, and when jetted properly, the DRZ felt like it had a noticiable power advantage. The WR has a little more peaky top end rush, but it has shorter overall gear ratios and isn't as street-friendly as the DRZ.

For the money, the DRZ is the way to go IMO. The aftermarket support is unreal, and not all that expensive. I really wanted to convert a CRF450X into a street legal motard, but for the money, I'd rather rock my pimped-out DRZ with a big bore kit.

I'm in the process of finishing up a bunch of mods to my DRZ and will post up some pics within a few weeks.

i had one, pipe it, open the air box, stiffen the suspension, and one down in the front. and you can do anything.

fi whould be better , i dont have many problems with it but i do notice the idle surge on the drz and when i get slow high O's it loses some throttle response also i'm only 2down and a 53 lil more would help some , think imma get a 60 and move my chain guide up the swingarm a lil bit .... Now There is the matter of drz vs wr ??? Bring that dude to Nashville AFS comp we can werk it out . We have and opening for the motard stunt world , we should throw a leg over and show the crotch rockets we got tricks they wont even try
