636 motor questions?

Will a 03/04 motor mount to a 05/06 frame or do the motor mounts not line up? Also if it does fit can i use the 05/06 tank or would i need the 03/04 tank?

05-06 motors are cheaper and in less demand than 03-04, I don't understand.
