if your looking at getting a mp5 a replica of a h&k cost between $2300-$3000 for a semi auto only. if your rich enough to enjoy a full auto legit gun your looking aroun $12,000 because they are only preban and curently produced automatic firearms can not be sold to civilians.

but check these guys out. have sent them emails about buying a semi auto mp5k or just a plain mp5 with a collapsable stock and they said about $2300. then all the paperwork to own a sbr.

after getting prices from some people, Id only pay $2300 for a real pre-ban HK. Not an aftermarket one.......... even if its all HK parts with an aftermarket receiver. Thats like spending 100K on a restored muscle car to find out its got aftermarket fiberglass body panels and a 2012 crate motor. Its just not the same!

Just throwing this out there...If your into projects and decent with tools and machinist/metal-work type stuff I would suggest looking into homebuilding a semi-auto AK especially if its going to be part of your collection. Check into local laws to see if it will be legal for you though. Pick a good matching numbers parts kit, buy a completed receiver shipped to your local FFL gun shop, and be sure to use at least 6 US made parts (out of those on the list) to be totally compliant. There's plenty of good info out there too.
