I rock my gramps browning .22 from the 50's, a advantage arms .22 conversion for my glock 19 and every other weekend up at my parents farm I blast at least 100+ through my pops remington 597 rifle at they're natural backstop on the 7 acres they have

1000 fps is 682 mph !
A .22 LR is dangerous, possibly leathal at 5000 feet, not accurate but but still enough energy to kill you!
Yes everyone underestimates a .22
Plunking beer cans at 300/400 feet is not that hard, easier yet with a scope.
If I had to run zombies off at 500 feet I would take the .22 LR over a .38 or 9mm hand gun, if they kept coming then I pick up the 30-06 or the mini 14 if they got closer.

no pics yet........ here i'll start it off....

got a smith & wesson M&P 15-22 to add to the collection as a partial christmas gift about 5 months ago from the wife and havent even had a chance to shoot it yet. but a least now i dont have to feel gulity about spending so much on ammo at the range. kind of the reason i stopped going as much.

heres the pics.... sorry the pics are from my htc evo phone. so there not the best.

Just got the same gun about a week ago. fun as hell to shoot and you dont have to think twice about unloading the 25 rd mag and only spending about $2 on it lol
