it's so deep the only way to work is by remote control but the fact that they got a hose in one of the broken hoses means we should be able to get hoses in all the broken hoses and once thats done i dont see why we cant seal the inner hose to the outer hose using the inner hose as a guide

there was suposed to be safety valves and they failed ..hard to believe they all fail , seems more likely they werent installed correctly or at all

The deal seems to be that they are trying to stop the leak without losing the well.
What they need to do is run a line down and set a really dense cement plug and completely stop the flow.
It is possible to plug a well that is flowing. I've done it before on land more than once.
Shouldn't be much different offshore.

They were talking about that yesterday, spraying thick mud and concrete (even golf balls, and tire shreds) into the holes. Hopefully it works, as they said it had never been done at that depth before.
